The first workshop brings the project team together to create a shared understanding of what success means and how they will work together to achieve it.
Rather than simply discussing objectives, participants physically build their ideas, explain their thinking and then connect their individual perspectives into a shared project vision.
Key outcomes — by the end of the session, the team will have:
A shared definition of what project success looks like
Clarity around the key outcomes and expectations
A better understanding of what needs to happen for the project to succeed
Agreement on how the team needs to work together
Identification of potential challenges, risks and barriers
A visual representation of the project's journey from start to success
This session happens at the end of the project and deliberately returns to the thinking and expectations established in Workshop 1.
The purpose isn't to conduct a traditional "lessons learned" meeting. Instead, LEGO® Serious Play® gives the team an opportunity to step back from the project, make sense of what happened and surface learning that may otherwise remain unspoken.
Key outcomes — by the end of the session, the team will have:
A shared understanding of what actually happened
Recognition of what worked well and what didn't work
Insight into why certain things happened
Understanding of assumptions that proved right or wrong
Identification of what the team could have done differently
Practical lessons to carry into the next project
A set of future actions and principles
The real strength of this approach is that the two workshops become one continuous learning journey, rather than two unrelated sessions.
BUILD → DO → REFLECT → LEARN → IMPROVE
Dependant on number of participants. Each of the two workshops runs as a focused, standalone session.
